Hereward Community Rail Partnership 10th Anniversary year

'The Herewards are go!' event kickstarts the Hereward Community Rail Partnership's anniversary celebrations

This October, the Hereward Community Rail Partnership (CRP) celebrates 10 years of supporting the Hereward Line which runs from Peterborough to Ely, and its stations at March, Manea and Whittlesea.

In that time, the CRP has played a pivotal role in promoting railway use along the line, improving station facilities and building community links. The partnership also works with station adopters to make the stations more attractive and with train operators to enhance train services.

To celebrate the milestone, the Hereward Community Rail Partnership and Fenland District Council, which manages the CRP, will be holding a special ‘Herewards are go!’ event on Wednesday 12 October 2022.

Representatives will be on hand at Peterborough and Ely stations between 7am and 12noon to meet passengers and station users, share information about the line, and hand out HCRP-themed biscuits. There will also be decorations at March, Manea and Whittlesea stations to celebrate the day!

Representatives will also be travelling on Greater Anglia trains along the line during the morning of this special day where you can pick up a Hereward Line Guide and get your biscuits! More celebrations are being planned for throughout the year, too.
