Peterborough is the Cathedral city station at the western end of our Hereward Line.
It is located 76 miles up the East Coast main line from London King’s Cross.
The station is a major interchange for rail service both north-south and east-west services for local and long distance travel. Direct services to London, Birmingham, Ipswich, Stansted, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow are all possible from Peterborough.
The station is managed by London North Eastern Rail (LNER) and consists of 7 platforms accessed by two foot bridges with options of stairs, lifts or a ramp. Facilities include accessible toilets, cafes/coffee shops, food outlets, vending machines and waiting rooms on each platform.
