Hereward Community Rail Partnership are celebrating after being shortlisted, along with colleagues across the region’s CRP’s, for an award at the upcoming Community Rail Awards 2021.
The HCRP were jointly nominated for the “Influencing Positive Change & Sustainability” Award after the hugely successful “Switch it off at level crossings” Campaign was launched earlier this year, in collaboration with Network Rail, Greater Anglia and other regioanl CRP’s.
The scheme aims to encourage drivers to switch off their engines whilst waiting at level crossings in a bid to help reduce carbon emissions from idling engines: Switch it off at level crossings – Network Rail.

They will join colleagues from The Bittern Line, Wherry Lines, East Suffolk Lines, Essex and South Suffolk and New River Line Community Rail Partnerships, Network Rail, Greater Anglia and station adopters to find out who the deserving winner in this catergory and the other 9 categories is later on in October.
