Hereward CRP Information

The Hereward Community Rail Partnership (CRP) aims to get the community involved in our local railway and stations. The Hereward CRP launched in 2012 to focus on the railway line between Peterborough and Ely. In North Cambridgeshire, this is Manea, March and Whittlesea railway stations.
The Hereward CRP is a local voice helping to deliver valuable rail improvements.

Volunteering

You could volunteer as a station adopter. These are people that act as the eyes and ears for the train operating company, usually at unstaffed stations. Adopters agree a simple programme of works every year. This includes making sure the station is clean and tidy, checking that information is up to date and managing areas that have become overgrown.

Anyone can be a station adopter but they need to register with the train operator managing the station first. For Whittlesey, March, Manea and Ely this is Greater Anglia. For Peterborough this is LNER

Friends of March Railway Station are a Station Adopter Group who look after March Railway Station.
