Hereward CRP is planning to join in the National Community Rail Campaign – Community Rail Week – “More than a Railway”.

Along with attending showcase events in Sheffield and Nottingham to join colleagues from the East Midlands Region (hosted by East Midlands Railway), Hereward CRP will be taking a group of students from local charity FACET on a day trip to Peterborough.
They will be taking a trip to the city’s musem and enjoying a picnic lunch before returning home on the train.

This trip is the first of a series of “Try a Train” trips being organised by the Hereward CRP and colleagues are really looking forward to showing lots of passengers over the coming months how easy the train is to use and how accessible cities like Peterborough and Ely are by train.

Funding for the “Try a Train” programme has come from Cross Country Trains Commuity Engagement Fund.
