Geoff Howes, Station Adopter at Whittlesea Station, has been recognised for his efforts in the town at the recent Pride in Fenland Awards.

Geoff set up Manor Parkrun in Whittlesey four years ago after being forced to retire from being a headteacher for heart surgery, and a nomination said: “he volunteers at Parkrun every Saturday whatever the weather as well as doing lots more for the community as a Whittlesea Station Adopter and coaching junior runners.”
