Hereward CRP collaborate with Peterborough Positive & Peterborough Civic Society to showcase the city
We were delighted to work in collaboration with Peterborough Positive and Peterborough Civic Society recently on a number of projects, one of which was to bring our train operator colleagues (all of whom serve Peterborough) to the city for a Taster Day.
Colleagues from EAst Midlands Railway, CrossCountry, LNER, Thameslink, and Community Rail Network travelled to the city for the event.

We planned a full schedule of visits around the city, which included tours at Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery, Peterborough Cathedral, Railworld Wildlife Haven, and The Nene Valley Railway (we visited their city centre station).
The day provided the guests with a taste of the wonderful offerings across the city and in addition to the attractions, the day took in a number of the city’s blue plaques, Gormley sculptures, Vivacity Lido and Key Theatre.
Lunch was enjoyed in The Shed, formerly Peterborough East Station.

A packed day and lots of great discussions from colleagues about how we can all work together to help boost visitor numbers and promote days out by rail to Peterborough!
Our thanks to all involved in making the day such a productive one and here’s to spreading the word about the fabulous array of activities Peterborough has to offer.
